We commissioned our longtime friend and composer Les Stallings of Nashville Tennessee to write this American tribute that was debuted at the Colorado Freedom Memorial in May of 2015. The “1776 Overture”, unlike the well-known “1812 Overture” which has nothing at all to do with our nation, is a tribute to those who fought and sacrificed to assure the future of our way of life. They stand on the shoulders of our founding fathers, declaring equality and independence, riding and fighting in the spirit of Paul Revere, and giving birth over and over again to the ideals of freedom and liberty for all.
