KATHY BRANTIGAN
Artistic Director
Founder, tubist and fearless leader of Denver Brass, Kathy is a pioneer in the world of professional female tubists and an early soloist at the International Women’s Brass Conference. University of Michigan graduate, Kathy has revolutionized the concept of brass ensembles in the 21st century. As a tubist, Kathy has played with the Central City Opera, Colorado Ballet, The King’s Brass, Aries Brass Quintet and Hudson Valley Philharmonic. Kathy’s successful career has been a result of her tenacity, good humor and gregarious personality. Chuck Brantigan is her tuba mate in the Denver Brass as well as marriage. They love Victorian houses, narrow gauge steam trains, traveling, and social time with sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and friends!
BECKY WILKINS
Executive Director
Becky joined the Denver Brass team in 2010 and was appointed Executive Director in 2015. In 2012, she was selected Conference Director of the prestigious international Rafael Méndez Brass Institute. Becky holds an MBA with specialization in Sports & Entertainment Management from the University of Colorado Denver, and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music, with minors in business and leadership studies. A Colorado native, Becky is proud to be contributing to the growth and development of music and the arts in the Denver-metro region. She lives in Georgetown with her husband, Scott, and spends the little free time she has skiing, biking, quilting and practicing her horn.
LANE RANDALL
Production Assistant & Stage Manager
Lane obtained his BA in music from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music with a minor in business administration. Lane also holds an AA in music and AAS in music technology from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. As a euphonium/trombone player and enthusiast of performing arts, Lane is excited to be working with Denver Brass as a production assistant/stage manager. He also works as box office show lead at the Denver Center for Performing Arts and does freelance audio work, production, and event management in the Denver area. Outside of work, Lane enjoys attending performances with friends, playing tabletop games, and meeting new people!
CHRISTOPHER TERRAZAS
Operations & Communications
Christopher Terrazas is a freelance trombonist based in Denver. A native from El Paso, Texas, Christopher obtained his Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at El Paso (’20) and later his Master of Music (‘22) and Performance Certificate (‘23) from the University of Denver. Throughout his college education, Christopher has competed as a soloist at the regional, national, and international levels, being a finalist for the American Trombone Workshop National Solo Competition, the International Trombone Festival Robert Marsteller Solo Competition, as well as the winner of the Big 12 Trombone Conference Solo Competition. Christopher is principal trombonist of the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra.
