Why your gift matters

Voices From our Community

Students & Emerging Artists attending the Rafael Méndez Brass Institute

“This was my first time attending an institute like RMBI that I could comfortably afford. I left deeply inspired, with confidence in my playing and a clear sense of belonging in the music world.”

“RMBI was one of the most inspiring experiences I’ve ever had. The faculty were generous, welcoming, and deeply invested in our growth as musicians and humans.”

“For the first time, I felt like I truly belonged in a music space. Meeting my musical idols and playing alongside them changed how I see my future in music.”

Art That Honors Memory & Heals

“The premiere of Sketches of Courage was deeply moving. As a military family, hearing music that honored unspoken sacrifices made us feel seen and remembered.”

— Veteran attendee

“The music gave voice to memories that words never could. It was powerful, emotional, and unforgettable.”

Veterans & Military Families (VetTix)

“Thank you for honoring veterans through this music. Denver Brass doesn’t just perform — they remind us that our service and stories still matter.”

— U.S. Army Veteran

“Being able to bring my family to this concert helped make up for time lost to deployments. The generosity of Denver Brass made that possible.”

— U.S. Army Veteran

“The premiere of Sketches of Courage hit close to home. My husband’s father died in WWII, and the music was incredibly meaningful for our family.”

Community & Volunteers

“I loved greeting patrons and helping them to their seats. The music was stunning, and working alongside volunteers of all ages made the experience truly special.”

“I don’t volunteer for recognition — I volunteer because this organization matters. Denver Brass brings people together through music in a way few groups do.”
