2018 Summer Concerts
Summer is almost here! We are excited to announce our hot 2018 summer lineup, featuring a wide variety of amazing concerts.
The fun starts at the Evergreen Music Festival, July 4 at 4:15pm, at Buchanan Park in Evergreen, CO. We will present a salute to America, featuring patriotic favorites including America the Beautiful, Armed Forces Medley, Stars & Stripes Forever, and 1812 Overture, with live Civil War canons and rifles! This concert will also feature guest artists Fiesta Colorado Dance Company, performing Mexican Folkloric, Flamenco and Spanish Classical dance set to lively Latin music. We perform promptly at 4:15pm, but you can enjoy the festival all day from 10am-7:30pm, featuring 14 performing groups, kid's activities and a car show! Up next is an entire week of free concerts at the Rafael Méndez Brass Institute, July 8-14, at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts. Denver Brass has been proud to host the institute since 2012. Students from across the globe participate in an intensive one-week summer seminar that focuses on technical skills, chamber music performance and careers in music. Throughout the week there will be free concerts featuring students, world-renowned faculty and guest artists, including "Bourbon Street Brass" by the full Denver Brass on Sunday, July 7 at 8pm. This summer also marks the return of Good Vibrations! Back by popular demand, join Denver Brass and guest artists, 17th Avenue Allstars, at the Arvada Center Outdoor Amphitheatre on July 15 at 7:30pm. Featuring classic hits worthy of the best summer playlist, come relive the magic of America's golden age of rock, through the nostalgic sounds of The Beach Boys, Elvis, Earth Wind and Fire, The Beatles, Chicago, and more! This show-stopping combination of brass, doo-wop and a capella will make for an unforgettable evening under the stars. Last, but certainly not least, put on your conductor's hat and follow us to the mountains for Boreas Pass Railroad Day in Como, CO on August 18th. This full day event takes place from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with Denver Brass presenting a concert featuring guest artists Celtic Colorado Pipes Drums, and classic Americana, Celtic music and other fan favorites, promptly at 2:00pm. The festival will also feature fascinating Colorado history, live train demonstrations, children's activities and more! Both the concert and festival are free of charge!
